PS Vita Celebrates Birthday With Freebies and Big Discounts
Sony is helping the PS Vita blow out the candles for its third birthday with some free downloads and discounts of up to 80 percent off for over 30 games of its library.
The PlayStation Blog has announced that Sony's favorite handheld is turning three-years-old and it's hosting a big promotion to celebrate. For 48 hours, Sony will be slashing prices (up to 80 percent off) on over 30 PS Vita games at the PlayStation Store and will be offering a few freebies as well. The addition of PlayStation Now for the PS Vita will hopefully re-spark interest in it and this sale will likely help. We should also note add that the PlayStation TV, which has been included in a few enticing PlayStation 4 bundles over the past month, is able to play a significant number of PS Vita titles as well.
Sony is making the Toro and Friends PS Vita Theme free from Feb. 26 through March 2. Fat Princess: Piece of Cake 8 Gold Coin Pack, a match-3 spin-off of the rotund series, will be free during this time as well. The final download comes in the form of free DLC for Destiny of Spirits. Just play Destiny of Spirits and complete its tutorial between Feb. 24 through Feb. 25 to have the special Himiko Spirit sent to your in-game mailbox by the next day.
