The upcoming release of Pokémon Sun and Moon will push the total count of pocket monsters over 800, and it’s no secret that among that number there are more than a few bewildering creatures. We need some modicum of protection. We need to take a stand against bad Pokémon designs. It’s not just a matter of nostalgia. Jynx is part of the original cast, and she is objectively the worst. But it’s too late to save ourselves from the likes of her and Mr. Mime. We need to recognize the mistakes of character designers past.
