Don’t lie. This one took every one of you by surprise. You were just walking around the mist and dank countryside of Spain fending off villagers with pitchforks, when you heard that sphincter-tightening sound of a chainsaw. You knew it would be bad, but you didn’t know that one swipe could take Leon’s head clean off in a spectacular fountain of blood. It was an abrupt, devastating, and memorable way for you to end a playthrough of Resident Evil 4. There is something about a chainsaw that makes everything a little more unsettling. The sound alone would have been enough, but the decapitation of Leon had us closing our eyes just for a second.
