With the disappointing news that Crysis 3 will not be headed for the Nintendo Wii U, at least fans of the console received decent news today. Polygon reports a 30 MB update has been added to its system software.

The update, according to Nintendo, will add to the overall stability to the console and also features, "other minor adjustments to enhance the user experience." A larger update, due in April, is aimed to help speed up loading times for applications and system software.

All of these improvements don't mean a thing if more franchises don't make themselves available for the Wii U console. The good news is Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is being developed for the Wii U, and on March 19th Need for Speed Most Wanted will debut on the console.
