New Disney Infinity Video Shows The Genesis of Toy Box

Though at first Disney Infinity appears to be a licensed clone of Activision's Skylanders franchise, this latest developer diary shows just how ambitious Disney is being with the project.

Disney Infinity's primary focus will still be mini-figures and playsets based on the movies and animated series that have become so popular over the years. However, beyond that, Infinity will also include a robust open world called Toy Box. In Toy Box, anything is possible as long as you can imagine it.

The idea, presented in this video, is that Disney will give you all the tools and toys, but it's up to you to figure out how to use them. Imagination is the key, and just taking what's in the world with no objectives and few rules, Toy Box allows you to experiment to your heart's content.
