The director of Infamous: Second Son let us know that the broadness of the Infamous mythos allows for many types of sequels, stories and superheroes in the series' future.

The PlayStation Official Magazine UK recently spoke to Sucker Punch Production's Nate Fox about the vast potential in the Infamous series. "Infamous is a really broad concept," Fox said. "An everyday person gets powers and decides if they want to use them for good or evil. That could be anybody of any age, any gender, any time, any country. It's as wide open as superhero fiction."

In the interview, Fox agreed that the series could pan out similarly to the Assassin's Creed series in terms of each sequel being in a completely different setting. Fox mentioned that going from one sequel to another for Infamous could be like going from BioShock to BioShock Infinite -- while Infinite did not necessarily act like a direct sequel, it was a spiritual successor.

That other developers are taking cues from Assassin's Creed's style is interesting, and we can only imagine where Infamous is headed next.
