Nintendo has unveiled some awesome, upcoming bundles featuring Super Mario Maker and the 8-Bit Mario amiibo figurine.

Comcept has released some animated prototype footage to showcase what the world and characters of Mega Man Legends' spiritual successor Red Ash are all about.

We've seen plenty of Super Mario speedruns in the past, but not one where the game gets beaten in 23 minutes while the player wasn't looking.

Mighty No. 9 is a game that fans have been wanting for years, though admittedly they asked for it in a different way. This action-packed robot platformer is being developed with mega expectations thanks to the head of the project's pedigree in the gaming industry, but I don't think those expectations are any worry to the team behind the game. They have more pressing issues in mind.

I can already see that Yoshi's Woolly World is going to shock a lot of people. Not because of anything controversial -- how can anything starring Yoshi be controversial? -- but because of the surprising complexity of some of the game's puzzles. I figured that this game would lean heavily on its super-cute, d'awwww-inspiring world of yarn and wool, pulling in players that way but never really challenging their platforming abilities. After demoing the game with a Nintendo rep at E3, hoo boy was I wrong.

The EA E3 offering had everything video game fans expected from high action titles like Star Wars Battlefront and Mirror's Edge Catalyst to the storied library of EA Sports titles like Madden NFL 16 and NHL 16. Tucked within all of those announcements however was a small puzzle-platformer that instantly captured the hearts of everyone who saw it. Unravel is a quirky little game starring the cutest little piece of fabric this side of Wool Yoshi, and after some extended hands-on time I instantly fell in love.

Tomasz Waclawek's unique, turn-based action platformer, Ronin, will be leaping out of Steam Early Access' shadows next week.

The release of Super Mario Maker could very well mark a new, even brighter future for the video game industry. That game's launch will mark the first non-Minecraft game design tool, a creative wonderland for players to create their own Mario levels and share them with the world. After dabbling in some rudimentary stage creation of my own and taking on some stages made by other E3-goers, there's a lot of fun to be had in Super Mario Maker.

Coldwood and EA will team up to bring Unravel, an adorable, yarn-based puzzle-platformer, to life for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
