We finally have a Western release date for the mech-filled, interstellar JRPG, Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Nintendo and Monolith Soft has unveiled a new trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles X along with its North American release date. Xenoblade Chronicles X focuses on an interstellar war between the remnants of the human race and an armada of oppressive aliens. In the midst of space, you'll have to explore an uncharted world for the sake of humanity's benefit, and you're bound to encounter some dangerous wildlife and nefarious aliens along the way. Luckily, you have futuristic weaponry and magic spells, called Arts, to help with combat as well as giant, Gundam-like mechs, called Skells. You can use Skells for combat and for traversing the world. Many of them can transform into different modes of transportation.

We should note that Xenoblade Chronicles X features Tetsuya Takahashi in the director's chair, who also directed and wrote Xenogears and the Xenosaga trilogy.

Xenoblade Chronicles X will make its Western debut on the Wii U starting Dec. 4.
