From Software's original PS-One hit, Shadow Tower, could be returning from the great beyond.

One of the first first-person RPGs to hit the Sony PlayStation could be making a return on its more recent platforms, DualShockers reports. According to a recent ESRB rating, From Software's Shadow Tower might be jumping over to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PSP in the form of a PS-One classic download on the PS Store. In case you don't remember, From Software is the studio that brought us both Dark Souls games and is coming out with Bloodbourne in the near future. From Software brought Shadow Tower into this world back in 1998, and obviously it hasn't forgotten about it. In Shadow Tower, you play the role of Ruus Hardy, a mercenary returning home to Zeptar in order to rescue his friends and family after it was sucked into the underworld. Who named these characters, Tommy Pickles?

The ESRB ratings unfortunately don't give us much information about Shadow Tower's return besides the consoles that it will be coming out for. Since this isn't the first time that the game will be making its way over to the PlayStation Network (it came out for the PSN in Japan back in 2007), we hope there are some optimizations made to help make the transition to modern screens.

Here's to hoping Shadow Tower gets a new paint job before it gets re-released on the PlayStation Store.
