Guild Wars 2’s Flame and Frost Update Heats Up the Action
The newest Guilds Wars 2 update has gone live and adds another chapter to the Flame and Frost series.
The Gathering Storm update is bringing the sound and the fury as the Charr and Norn refugees look for new homes. The Wayfarer Foothills and the Diessa Plateau are the settings for this story, and players can help out the refugees on their search. But this time around, the refugees' attackers decide to show their faces, so adventurers need to take up arms to help defend them.
Some general changes include refugees showing up in Lion's Arch, since camps in Hoelbrak and the Black Citadel have become crowded. A few of these wanderers' belongings have gotten scattered on the roads, so players would do well to recover these treasures.
The Ascalonian Catacombs Explorable's boss fights and encounters have been retooled, giving players a slightly different feel.
New Guild Content is available, such as a guild missions, new guild upgrades, and the ability to earn merits. These additions should foster more play between guildmates, since players have paid for a massively-multiplayer online role-playing game.
These are just some of the ways that Guild Wars 2 has added content to keep players adventuring and fighting. Check out all of the patch notes here and let us know if you're excited to help out the refugees.
