Square Enix released another version of its 'Dawn' trailer for Final Fantasy XV, featuring a lot less silly hugging and a larger focus on Luna.

As expected, Square Enix tried to makeup for Gamescom's awkward and near-pointless Final Fantasy XV trailer by releasing a remix of it (if it can work for Kingdom Hearts it can work for Final Fantasy I guess). This new take on the 'Dawn' trailer of Final Fantasy XV features a lot less hugging between King Regis Caelum and a sleeping Noctis. We still have the Niflheim soldiers searching for someone along with that adorable puppy sniffing around on the streets. Are the soldiers looking for Luna, Noctis or King Regis? Probably all of them, who knows. This time, we get more of a focus on Noctis and Luna as adults, who are trying to reunite in order to save their country from the Niflheim invasion.

We also got a couple of screenshots courtesy of Polygon that reveal some of Final Fantasy XV's minigames. As expected, there are going to be Chocobos to ride in the game (there was a Chocobo farm in the Episode Duscae demo but you couldn't ride any). Supposedly, there will be Chocobo racing in FFXV and Chocobo breeding will be reintroduced as well (FFVII fans are probably both happy and frustrated for that one). We also hear that a fishing minigame is being added. Supposedly, the fishing is just for sport and records, but considering that food is such a major part of FFXV's leveling system, I wouldn't be surprised if you get to cook and eat whatever you catch. Plenty of RPG and adventure series have resorted to fishing minigames in the past, most notably The Legend of Zelda and Breath of Fire series, but I'm not sure if this is going to be a good fit with Final Fantasy XV. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Final Fantasy XV will launch sometime in 2016 (most likely late 2016) for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
