In an unexpected and decidedly non-Thanksgiving turn, the newest update to The Simpsons: Tapped Out features Springfield's resident wise guy - Marion Anthony "Fat Tony" D'Amico.

As the Simpsons expert here at Arcade Sushi [This is true. —Ed.], I think this could mean a few things. For one, it's a sign that any and all characters are game for showing up at some point.

It's also an indication that the show could offer periodic updates that are tied to current episodes. This Sunday will feature an episode titled Penny-Wiseguys, which will feature, you guessed it, Fat Tony.

Once he's in the game, it starts off a questline that will have Fat Tony looking for a place to "hole up" to avoid the long arm of the law. Or in Springfield's case, the fat arm of the law. It's not long before Fat Tony is in Homer's basement. Look out, Grandpa Simpson! There's a mobster under the floorboards.

To get Fat Tony, all you have to do is make sure to boot up Tapped Out and check on your Springfield before Sunday's episode. It's a narrow window of time, but an ingenious way to entice you to continue to play the game.
