Drifter, Escape Goat 2 and Axiom Verge are just a few of the indie hits that soon hitting the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

The PlayStation Blog has recently unveiled a group of indie games that are coming to Sony's consoles. The first of these titles, Apotheon, is an action-based, side-scrolling platformer whose graphics are done in the absolutely brilliant and unique style of ancient Greek pottery. This game looks like ancient artwork that has come to life in order to show off its solid gameplay. Apotheon will be coming out for PlayStation 4.

The next title, Axiom Verge, is another 2D side-scrolling platformer. Despite being similar in genre to Apotheon, Axiom Verge couldn't be any more different. Axiom Verge is being designed solely by Tom Happ. It's programming, art, design, sounds and Metroidvania-esque world are all done by a one-man-band of development. Just watch its trailer and see how great it looks in action. Expect Axiom Verge on PS Vita and PS4 sometime in early 2015.

Chasm is an RPG platformer where you play as a soldier who must explore an underground mine in order to see what caused a mountain town's workers to disappear. Chasm will be coming to PS4 in late 2014. Like Axiom Verge, Chasm adheres to a Metroidvania style of exploring a large world while using various powers to unlock new areas.

Instead of another indie game, we have the highly anticipated DLC of Don't Starve, one of the first indie hits to grace the PlayStation 4. Don't Starve's Reign of Giants downloadable takes the same survival-based gameplay of the atmospheric original while bringing in even larger, more dangerous monsters than before.

Drifter is a trading simulator where you can explore the open-world (or open-space?) of the galaxy. You get to control your own starship where you must trade your way to prosperity while hunting pirates (or becoming one), mining and exploring deep space. Keep an eye out for Drifter on PS4 and PS Vita.

The last indie title announced, Escape Goat 2, is a puzzle platformer that tries to define itself through its intangibility. You play as a magical goat that must transform regularly in order to manipulate machinery and puzzles to keep things moving forward. Escape Goat 2 will be debuting on PS4.
