The now defunct THQ has finally given up the last of its ghosts. The auction for the remaining IP has closed, but who won?

The identity of the winning bidder is still unknown, but it is known that the winning bid was in the range of $6-7 million. That is a lot of money for some properties from a tanked company. But, some of those properties may have a bit more life in them. Here are a few of the remaining IP's that were auctioned off:

  • Darksiders
  • Red Faction
  • Homeworld
  • MX

A number of other developers have expressed interest in a few of the properties, but it is unknown whether Crytek or any others have gotten a hold on whatever properties they desired.

From the looks of it, there is still a bit of life within Darksiders, Red Faction, and Homeworld. We'll have to see what the future holds in store for these THQ franchises at their new homes.
