Namco Bandai Games America Inc. announced that Armored Core: Verdict Day is headed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles this summer. Armored Core V fans can carry their save data over to the new game.

Created by Japanese game developer FromSoftware, Armored Core: Verdict Day begins with the world plunged into chaos, as players lead a squadron of tougher-than-nails Armored Core mechs into an apocalyptic landscape devoid of natural resources.

Under Multiplayer Mode, gamers will form teams with up to 20 members and join an in-game faction to take territories away from other competitors. Gaming soloists will recruit their own squad of AI-controlled mechs, as a new matchmaking system promises a battle just around the corner.

Operator Mode returns with new upgrades, allowing gamers to lead their Armored Core mechs from a god's eye point-of-view. Operators can mark targets and receive real time cockpit views from other players and AI squad mates to process real-time strategic command of their respective conflicts.

"The Armored Core series has continually found itself a deep and dedicated fanbase," said Namco Bandai Games America Inc. VP Carlson Choi. "Armored Core: Verdict Day expands the level of immersion with more advanced customization, fine tuning, and streamlined multiplayer modes."
