EA Origin Gets its Mac On

EDIT
|

EA has announced that Mac users will soon be able to utilize the Origin service. You can now stop crying at work meetings.

They posted their announcement on the Origin news blog, and are offering the chance for Mac users to get into the alpha. The announcement says that the open alpha will be available to only a few thousand gamers in North America and the UK, so you should boogie on down and download the client here.

The Origin Store isn't available in the alpha yet, but it will be available as soon as the official client is released. But all is not bleak, since they want you to hit the gaming ground running by packing in a free copy of PopCap's Bookworm. The price is right, so why not take a bite?

EA says you need to, "have a Mac running OS X 10.6.8 or newer with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor or better," in order to use the alpha. Let us know if you meet these requirements and will be participating in the alpha!
