It's been confirmed! Borderlands Legends will be hitting iPhones and iPads at the end of this month. Get ready to shoot-and-loot some more as you supplement your Borderlands 2 addiction with this fun-sized fix. But how exactly will this title differ from its console brethren? Let's find out!

In an exclusive first-look, Entertainment Weekly shows us some of the goodies we'll find in Borderlands Legends. While this is not a straight-up port of the original RPG-flavored FPS, the game will bring back Roland, Mordecai, Brick, and Lilith for some top-down strategic role-playing action. And if you have a favorite character, you're going to have to learn how to work well with others, because Legends will have you take control of all of them at the same time during the random, objective-based missions. Just remember that those who shoot together, loot together.

Besides the new top-down perspective, there will also be a cover system to help keep your team alive while you cure enemies of their addiction to living. And speaking of enemies, those guys will scale with your level, so the challenge never has to stop. After mowing down the waves of mobs, see how you fare against the game's boss battles. But when you do want to take a break from dealing death, take some time to relax and buff up your characters via new skill trees or tool around with the many weapons and gear you'll acquire.

For those chomping at the bit, Borderlands Legends is set to drop on October 31, so you don't have to wait much longer. It will be $4.99 for the iPhone and $6.99 for the iPad. Check out these cool screenshots!
