WWE SuperCard Hits 1.5 Million Downloads in One Week
WWE SuperCard, the free-to-play card-based wrasslin' game for iOS, reached 1.5 million downloads on its first week of release, according to 2K Games.
2K calls SuperCard "the most successful WWE-branded casual game to have ever been launched by 2K or WWE for mobile devices," citing the 1.5 million downloads, 4.5/5 star average rating on the iTunes Store, and the 4/5 star average rating on the Google Play store.
Along with those impressive stats, 2K says that the game has seen 18 million unique log-ins with an average of 14 minutes per session, more than 82 million victories in Exhibition Mode, and more than 575,000 King of the Ring sessions. That's a lot of card-based combat.
“Surpassing 1.5 million downloads globally for WWE SuperCard in less than one week is truly an incredible accomplishment,” said WWE executive vice president of consumer products Casey Collins. “2K’s video game expertise combined with WWE’s strong brand appeal and passionate fan base set the foundation for a successful mobile application.”
We are really excited about the success of WWE SuperCard, as we're on the side of "this game is awesome." The only thing the game needs is direct online Exhibition against friends via iOS GameCenter or Google Play Games. That would put the game over the top.
