You can now play as any previously released version of every character in this new mode for Ultra Street Fighter 4.

For all of those players who wish to return to the days where Sagat was the most overpowered character in Street Fighter 4, Edition Select Mode in Ultra Street Fighter 4 is just for you. Capcom Unity has announced that Ultra Street Fighter 4's Edition Select Mode will allow you to choose a character from the roster and select which exact version of the fighter you'd like to use: vanilla (original) Street Fighter 4, Super Street Fighter 4, Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition, Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition ver. 2012 or Ultra Street Fighter 4.

This means we could actually see the long-theorized match between SF champions Daigo with his SF4 Ryu and Justin Wong with his Super SF4 Rufus. For the average player, many of these differences aren't really that noticeable, but fighting game advocates are sure going to be happy with this addition to Ultra Street Fighter 4. The question that remains is whether or not Edition Select Mode will become the official tournament standard? Most likely not, but we would very much like to see an exhibition match featuring rivals Daigo and Justin Wong done in this format.
