This cinematic trailer Ubisoft released at E3 hints at some of the death and misfortune that has plagued the residents of New York in Tom Clancy’s The Division.

The new E3 trailer for Tom Clancy's The Division starts off with a girl singing "Silent Night" as a Max Payne-esque, misanthropic narrator tells us how hard the world is. As both voices continue, we see life from inside a high-end New York studio slowly descend into chaos in a time-lapsed fashion.

Weeks later, we start seeing hazmat quarantined buildings start popping up all over the place (similar to that movie, 'Quarantine'). As more time passes, the Big Apple slowly rots from the inside, and we see that life inside the five boroughs has gone to hell.

On top of widespread sickness and death within the massive NY quarantine zone, many survivors have decided to arbitrarily arm themselves so they can openly rob and kill in order to stay alive. You and a group of specially trained soldiers must infiltrate Manhattan in order to try and save the good few left.

Be ready to retake New York when Tom Clancy's The Division launches in 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
