A remake of the 1998 Windows game Grim Fandango is being remade exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Sony announced during its E3 press conference.

The neo-noir thriller was a cult hit in 1998 and was released as a computer game by LucasArts. Grim Fandango was directed by Tim Schafer and is one of the first computer games to utilize 3D models.

The point and click adventure puzzle game was a cult classic and was acclaimed for its design and gameplay.

Sony announced that revitalizing the 16-year-old game was made possible thanks to Disney, who acquired LucasArts and its properties through the Lucasfilm acquisition announced on October 2013.
