SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker Trailer: Fate System

The wild RPG gameplay of the Shin Megami Tensei series grows with camaraderie in this new trailer for Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker. 

Atlus has posted a new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker that shows off its new Fate System. In this new SMT title, Fate acts as a bond that grows between your compatriots who are trying to prevent the destruction of the world. You need to get to know your party members and become friends with them, so that your group can fight as a more cohesive unit. While it's great to take the time to talk to your friends, just remember that you've got a world to save, so don't spend the entire day talking your head off with one of your friends in multiple side missions when there's another one about to die in the main game. Nevertheless, getting to know your friends increases your Fate level, which gives you all sorts of bonuses for you and your party members. A higher Fate level means that your party members can gain elemental resistances and your protagonist can unlock skills from the demons your allies have targetted. Also, you can get exclusive demons through the Fate system, such as Jeanne D'Arc, who is based on the French war hero, martyr and Catholic Saint, Joan of Arc. Jeanne D'Arc has appeared in six different Shin Megami Tensei titles so far, making this her seventh adventure.
