Tai Yasue of the Kingdom Hearts franchise has teased the idea of possibly bringing HD 1.5 and 2.5 to the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, following fan suggestions.

IGN reports that in an interview discussing what Square Enix is planning to do now that Kingdom Hearts III has been revealed, Yasue explained that it "hasn't ruled out putting the game on PS4 or Xbox One."

"I think [putting the games on PS4] is something we'll explore. We understand what our players want, so we will explore the possibility. I'm not making any announcements though," co-director of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts III, Tai Yasue has stated. When asked about whether the games will be coming to Xbox One, with the release of Kingdom Hearts III to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Yasue said, "There's a lot of things we need to think of when we consider consoles. One of them is what our fans want, so we will definitely consider that." However, he did go on to explain that, no matter what, its main priority is Kingdom Hearts III. Square Enix doesn't want to have to push back the release date, which is why everything is so up in the air right now.

In the meantime, you can play the newly released Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix on PlayStation 3 now.
