Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 Trailer: Battle Evolves

Brush up on the new ways you can dispatch your foes in this "Evolution of Battle" trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13.

The trailer is meant to accompany the release of the demo for Lightning Returns and prime players on how they'll be able to use the new battle system to strategically destroy their enemies. As always, gear and tactics play a big part in the combat, but now that everything is in real time and there are specific conditions that need to be met to weaken enemies, knowing what to bring to battle is of the utmost importance.

For instance, an enemy might be able to be put into a staggered position, thereby weakening it and leaving it open to attacks, but Lightning must perform the right actions in order to trigger this weakened state. The revamped Active Time Battle system allows for a range of customization that will make every encounter feel different. It's up to you to decide what you want to bring to the table.
