Kingdom Heart’s Oathkeeper Keyblade Forged by Man At Arms
The blacksmith masters at Baltimore Knife & Sword return to make the Kingdom Hearts series' Oathkeeper Keyblade in this new episode of Man At Arms.
A little over two years ago, the weapon forgers at Baltimore Knife & Sword made Sora's original Keyblade from the Kingdom Hearts series. Now, the team returns in this new episode of Man At Arms to make a dangerous, sharp version of the Oathkeeper Keyblade. Of course, Sora, Riku and Mickey's ginormous key weapons don't look like they're sharp. Heck, they look like they'd bludgeon you to death first before they'd ever cut you. Nevertheless, the Man At Arms crew slightly redesigned the Oathkeeper Keyblade in order to make it combat effective — they gave it some really sharp edges.
The Man At Arms team is known for their intricate details in creating screen-worthy props and replicas. They're also known for the durability of their products. You can see all the work gone into making the blade, hilt and charms of the Oathkeeper. Meanwhile, the segment at the end of the video reveals just how sharp the blade itself is. Here's to hoping they start making some of Organization XIII's weird, colorful weapons sometime in the furutre.
Unfortunately, there's no real launch window for Kingdom Hearts 3 yet (I'm guessing 2017 since Final Fantasy XV is coming out in 2016).
