Disney and Square Enix have announced they're hosting a major Kingdom Hearts 3 event at D23 Expo Japan this November.

A "Kingdom Hearts Premium Theater Event" has been announced for the D23 Expo Japan on Nov. 3, Gematsu reports. Disney and Square Enix will be unveiling some new footage from Kingdom Hearts 3 and host a live panel featuring some special guests. I wouldn't be surprised if Disney producer Roy Conli and game director Tetsuya Nomura were in attendance. Hopefully, some of the game's iconic voice actors will be there as well. For those unfamiliar with the event, D23 is the official convention for the Disney fan club. Last week, all kinds of Star Wars-related news was announced from the North American D23 event. Now, it's Japanese counterpart expo will be throwing a huge event for Sora, Riku and the rest of the gang.

Square Enix and Disney are expecting the event to be packed, so they're running the event twice in the same day, with the same content featured both times. D23 Expo Japan attendees will have to buy lottery tickets just to enter this Kingdom Hearts 3 event, which shows just how packed it will be.

A few days ago, we reported that Big Hero 6 would be one of the worlds to be featured in Kingdom Hearts 3. Unfortunately, there is no type of launch window for Kingdom Hearts 3 yet (we're guessing a 2017 release), but it has been confirmed for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We've got our fingers crossed for both Marvel and Star Wars worlds to be featured in KH3.
