The December issue of Game Informer has been revealed today, and it looks like we're once again going to get a chance to do some insane and explosive damage to an awful dictator. Why? Just Cause.

Just Cause 3 is the subject of the magazine's cover story this month, being officially confirmed by Square Enix and developer Avalanche Studios. We say "officially confirmed" because previously leaked screenshots suggest that the game was coming before, so it's great to see an official confirmation that Just Cause is returning.

Game Informer got hours on hands-on time with the new game, in which the team "tried out the vastly improved parachute and grapple mechanics, terrorized the latest dictator’s well-defended bases, and soared through the sky with the all-new wingsuit."

A separate post featured a Square Enix rep saying "Just Cause 3 is not free to play - it's a full price title for Windows PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 scheduled for release in 2015," despite screens of supposed microtransactional features in the game, making us wonder if those F2P elements are just optional.

It's great to see the Just Cause franchise get some love. We thought Just Cause 2 was criminally underrated, despite selling six million copies. The specter of microtransactions inspires a hesitation -- we hope that they are simply easily ignored extras and cosmetic bonuses. We'll see when Just Cause 3 launches in 2015 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
