Erik, Baleog and Olaf are back, bringing the iconic shield, helmet and sword into Blizzard's upcoming MOBA, Heroes of the Storm.

Blizzard's newest trailer for Heroes of the Storm heralds the return of The Lost Vikings, who we haven't seen appear in one of the studio's games since the Uldaman dungeon in World of Warcraft. For those who don't know, The Lost Vikings was the second game Blizzard ever made and helped put the then small-time development studio on the map. After doing Blackthorne and The Death and Return of Superman for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis, Blizzard released Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, which redefined the RTS genre and paved the way for StarCraft, World of Warcraft and even the MOBA genre (DOTA spawned from a custom Warcraft 3 mod).

Also joining Heroes of the Storm's ranks will be Thrall, Jaina Proudmoore, and Sylvanas Windrunner. The Sky Temple and Tomb of the Spider Queen are two of the newest battlegrounds to be added to the game. Blizzard also revealed some of the freemium skins you'll be able to buy for your heroes if you'd like some optional customizations to your hero.

Heroes of the Storm will enter its closed beta testing phase on Jan. 13, 2015. You can sign up for the beta via your Battle.net account on Blizzard's official website.
