Ridley Scott and 343 Industries' awesome live-action series, Halo: Nightfall, is being combined into a single, full-length film.

Halo: Nightfall's episodic adventures are being combined into a single, feature-length release coming out for Blu-ray, DVD and video-on-demand services, Polygon reports. The series was originally available on Xbox consoles and is expanding to other formats as well. Fans will be able to buy/rent the full release from video-on-demand services or buy a hard copy of the series as one whole movie, which is pretty cool. Halo: Nightfall helps bridge the storyline between Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians and introduces us to a new Spartan agent, Locke.

"Nightfall tells the dramatic story of legendary manhunter Jameson Locke (Mike Colter) and his team as they are caught in a horrific biological attack while investigating terrorist activity on the distant colony world of Sedra," the YouTube trailer's description explains.

If you're a diehard Halo fan, or even just a casual one, there will be a lot to love about this series. With the popularity of Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist and Mortal Kombat: Legacy, we're glad to see that gaming is getting the attention it deserves. Here's to hoping more TV series spawn from our other favorite franchises. The recent reveal of Netflix's Legend of Zelda series proves that games will always have a home in Hollywood.

Make sure to keep your eye out for the Ridley Scott's Halo: Nightfall on Blu-ray and DVD, which are set to come out on March 17.
