Funko Pop! Is Committed To Arkham Asylum
The Arkham series of games has given us one of the darkest, grimmest visions of the Batman mythos. Toymaker Funko, however, is taking the gritty, foreboding world of Warner Bros. Interactive’s popular Batman franchise, and turning some of its most popular characters into adorable vinyl figures with the Pop! Heroes: Arkham Asylum series.
This October, Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Killer Croc will all receive bobble-head renditions based on their appearances In Batman: Arkham Asylum. The adorable figures will stand around 3 ¾” tall, and feature bobbling heads and detailed paint jobs, but no articulation or accessories. For Funko Pop! collectors, these figures will be numbered 52 through 56, directly following the Guardians of the Galaxy series.
The Arkham series has already inspired action figures by DC Direct, Mattel, Diamond Select, NECA and Play Arts Kai, as well as statues by ARTFX and Kotobukiya, but Funko is producing the first bobble-head-style figures based on the games. We’ll be on the lookout for more adorable renditions of heroes and villains from the Arkham franchise. We’re especially excited about the prospect of bobble-headed versions of Robin, Azrael, Catwoman, Scarecrow and Deathstroke.
