Square Enix's latest RPG brings Dragoons and Black Mages back to the Nintendo 3DS.

According to Joystiq, Final Fantasy Explorers is getting ready to airship its way from Japan for North American and European releases. This is based on trademarks that were filed at Europe's Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market and the US Patent and Trademark Office. Both of these trademarks were registered by Square-Enix Holdings Co., Ltd.

Final Fantasy Explorers is an action role-playing game that is much akin to the series' crystal-themed adventures of old. Explorers takes a retro approach with old school summons, like Shiva and Ramuh, and changeable job classes for its characters, such as the White Mage, Monk, Paladin, Dragoon, Knight and many others.

Since Final Fantasy Explorers has yet to debut in Japan, we speculate we won't be able to play this Nintendo 3DS-exclusive RPG until sometime in 2015.
