A copy of Fallout 4 will be sent to a special fan who sent 11 pounds of bottle caps to Bethesda as a means of pre-ordering.

We all know that dropping over $100 of that pre-war money on the Pip-Boy Collector's Edition of Fallout 4 is nothing when you're able to pre-order the game using nothing but bottle caps, the true currency of the post-apocalyptic era. Imgur user GatorMacheteJr shipped 11.2 pounds of bottle caps (mainly from his beer bottles of the past seven and a half years) to Bethesda HQ for pre-ordering his upcoming PC copy of the game, and guess what, Bethesda is actually sending him one this November.

Here's what he said to say about this special delivery:

Fallout 3 was my favorite game for several years, so I made the rational choice to start saving up bottle caps. Turns out 4.5 years of undergrad and 3 years in a Master's program leads to a lot of drinking. It ended up being 11.2 pounds of bottle caps. You don't want to know how much it cost to ship it to Maryland.

Bethesda's Community Lead Matt Grandstaff posted a picture of him receiving the payment on Twitter. Since GatorMacheteJr is the first person to do this, Bethesda will give him a copy. They probably hope they won't end up getting more payments like this in the future, as Grandstaff mentioned his entire office room smells like beer just from Gator's shipment alone.

Fallout 4 will launch on Nov. 10 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
