To tie-in with its upcoming virtual reality experience on the Oculus Rift, CCP Games is working with Dark Horse to make a printed comic series based on EVE: Valkyrie.

Dark Horse Comics announced at New York Comic Con 2014 that it would be a doing a run of an EVE: Valkyrie comic series. Brian Wood, known for his work on the Ultimate X-Men, Conan and Star Wars comic series (and Spawn's newest writer), will be penning a miniseries based on Valkyrie with Eduardo Francisco doing the game's art. EVE: Valkyrie takes place in the same universe as the ever-popular EVE Online MMORPG. Dark Horse already did two comic projects based on EVE Online, EVE: True Stories and the EVE Sourcebook, so it makes sense that CCP Games would collaborate with the company again for the prequel comic to EVE: Valkyrie.

The EVE: Valkyrie four-part miniseries will tell the story of the first group of Valkyrie pilots in New Eden. While the Oculus Rift version of Valkyrie doesn't have any type of launch window in sight, the first issue of the EVE: Valkyrie comic series will go on sale on June 3, 2015.
