Square Enix has launched a teaser site for its latest Slime-filled spin-off, Dragon Quest Builders, whose visuals look heavily inspired by Minecraft.

The official Japanese page for Dragon Quest launched a site for Dragon Quest Builders, a blocky spin-off utilizing the mythos of Square Enix's other fan favorite JRPG series. There's not much to go on from the Japanese website, other than it heading for a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita release. Square Enix has yet to announce whether or not Builders will be getting a Western release as well. Nevertheless, the website's lone screenshot is quite gorgeous. We get to see an open zone that looks like it was pulled straight out of Minecraft. There are a few enemy Slimes throughout the area. More importantly, there's a massive dragon out in the open. You can definitely see Mojang's influences in Builders' cliff designs and the layout of its land. We can't wait to see more of Builders and hope it eventually heads West.

Earlier this week, we reported that series creator Yuju Horii announced that Dragon Quest XI would not be another MMORPG and that it would be developed for home consoles. He also mentioned that Dragon Quest VII and VIII's Nintendo 3DS remakes are being localized for a Western release. Omega Force's Dragon Quest Heroes, made in a way similar to Dynasty Warriors, will be launching for PS4 on Oct. 13. There is already a sequel of Heroes in the works as well.
