The sixth title of Square Enix's other famous RPG series has been remade and hit the iOS and Android formats.

Square Enix has launched the remake of Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation for iOS and Android. This 16-bit classic JRPG debuted on the Super Famicom in late 1995. Western gamers didn't see an official release of it until it was remade for the Nintendo DS in 2011. As you'd expect, this mobile adaptation of DQVI caters to your own style of gameplay, especially if you want to play one-handed while holding your phone upright.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation hits the familiar (and overkill) territory of JRPG heroes suffering from amnesia, only to find a great evil and an end-of-the-world plot at the center of it. It's up to you and your newfound friends to save both the Dream World and the real world from this nefarious threat. Similar to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, there is a strange Dream World you can shift back and forth from using special warps areas. Along the way, expect to slay Slimes and encounter all kinds of iconic Dragon Quest enemies. If DQVI's visuals seem familiar to you, you should know that its characters and art style were originally designed by Akira Toriyama of Dragon Ball Z fame.

You can buy Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation for $14.99 on Google Play or on iTunes.
