You can extinguish your feelings of wanting to scorch the Earth due to EA's microtransactions, Dead Space 3 players, because here's how you can farm infinite resources for crafting.

Game Front reported on what was thought to be a glitch in the game that allowed players to farm an endless amount of resources. This trick involved picking up items at the end of a room with a power generator and a bunk bed in Chapter 8.

As shown in the video below, all a player has to do is enter the room, grab the items, leave the room, and then repeat. The randomized items will respawn each time you head back into the shack. This can be done as many times as a player's endurance and sanity will allow, letting patient gamers farm loads of resources to use in crafting without having to spend a dime.

EA responded to the video, however, letting Game Front know that this mechanic was not a glitch or exploit. In a statement to Game Front, EA Public Relations representative Jino Talens said:

“The resource-earning mechanic in Dead Space 3 is not a glitch. We have no plans to issue a patch to change this aspect of the game. We encourage players to explore the game and discover the areas where resources respawn for free. We’ve deliberately designed Dead Space 3 to allow players to harvest resources by playing through the game. For those that wish to accumulate upgrades instantly, we have enabled an optional system for them to buy the resources at a minimal cost ($1-$3).”

So really, you can pay for resources using either time or a little bit of money. The choice is up to you and whether or not you can handle performing repetitive tasks in order to get your hands on beefier equipment.

Watch the video below to see the technique and let us know if you'd rather farm resources like this or pay money for them!
