A game called Dance Magic, which harnesses the awesome power of dancing for combat purposes, is headed to the PS3 on January 8th, 2013. Sadly, David Bowie has nothing to do with this title.

Dance Magic is set to change the way we think of dance battles, by having us actually fight by using magic produced by dancing. Go figure, right? In Dance Magic, according to the press release from Gaijin Entertainment, "all of the Earth's people are not only dancers, but also warriors fighting for peace."

By messing around with biological energy, they've discovered how to weaponize dance moves, which has become the single greatest force on the planet. If this were to happen in real life, just imagine how incredibly screwed we'd all be thanks to Gangnam Style.

Players are charged with saving the world by busting moves to over 20 musical tracks, seven dance styles, with characters who can uses special abilities thanks to their accessories, and throughout different modes of play. And of course, the PlayStation Move will be supported, so your moves will be augmented with actual motion.

You'll be able to purchase Dance Magic straight from the PlayStation Store next week on January 8th, 2013. Check out the trailer and screens below to see if there's any canned heat in your feet.
