The magical story of Broken Age continues, as Double Fine Productions' second act will debut next month for PC, PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

The PlayStation Blog has announced the release date for Broken Age Act 2 on PlayStation consoles and PC. With Tim Schafer's timeless classic, Grim Fandango recently being resurrected on PlayStation 4, our big question was when we would get to continue the story of Vella and Shay after that plot-twisting cliffhanger of an ending. Now, we're finally going to get to see the continuation of this near-flawless point-and-click adventure. Featuring voice acting from Elijah Wood, Marasa Moyo, Jack Black, Jennifer Hale and Pendleton Ward really made the first act have some rather amazing production quality.

Broken Age (warning: spoilers) tells an amazing story of two heroes, Vella Tartine and Shay Volta. Shay is a young man stuck on a fully automated spaceship, called the Bossa Nostra. Everything in his life is controlled by an AI and he's mighty bored of the dull life he has all by his lonesome. The AI in charge of the ship keeps preventing him from exploring the areas outside, telling him that he's the last survivor of a nearly extinct race after his planet was destroyed. The other protagonist, Vella Tartine, is a teenager who was meant to be a sacrifice to the giant monster, Mog Chothra, the beast that terrorizes Vella's world. As a result, young girls get sacrificed to the beast each year to prevent it from destroying their town. Vella escapes then decides that she'll try to stop the beast completely and goes on an adventure. Let's just say there were some major plot twists that we legitimately didn't see coming, and we can't wait to see what happens next.

Broken Age Act 2 will launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on April 28 with cross-buy and cross-saves.
