With a new Assassin's Creed game always comes a slew of pre-order opportunities and deluxe editions, and Ubisoft isn't wasting any time with Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

First the uPlay-exclusive Collector's Edition pictured above comes with the game, a digital download of the soundtrack, a poster of the in-game map of London, the Season Pass for future DLC, the extra "Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy" mission, an art book, and an impressive statue of the lead Assassin Jacob Frye all for $119.99. That's a pretty good assortment of Assassin's Creed goodies for that price, though it's really no different than any of the previous AC collector's editions.

If the deluxe statue isn't your thing, there's also the standard edition and the Gold Edition, which is the standard and the Season Pass bundled together. Every pre-order of Assassin's Creed Syndicate comes with the "Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy" mission mentioned above, so if that's what has you pre-ordering the game don't worry about missing out, it's yours no matter what.

This is all pretty standard fare for the Assassin's Creed pre-order offerings, as it's no different than what previous games in the franchise have offered, but the exclusivity of the Collector's Edition to the uPlay store is disheartening. We like it better when we can put an initial deposit down on a deluxe edition then pay it off piece by piece instead of dedicating $120 up front months before the game launches. We hope Ubisoft changes its mind and sends some Collector's Editions to retailers... but who are we kidding, that's not going to happen.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate launches Oct. 23 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
