WWE 2K16’s Final 23 Roster Additions, NXT’s Women Excluded

Yuke's and 2K have finally revealed the last set of wrestlers joining the core roster of WWE 2K16. Unfortunately, the Four Horsewomen of NXT aren't included.

The final group of sports entertainers have been announced for WWE 2K16, and we've got some surprising names in the bunch. Baron Corbin, Big E, Bray Wyatt, Brian Pillman, Colin Cassady, Enzo Amore, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Kofi Kingston, Konnor, Mark Henry, Mikey Whipwreck, Ricky Steamboat, Rusev, Savio Vega, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, Sting (1999), Sting (Blonde), Stunning Steve Austin, Undertaker (American Badass), Undertaker (Ministry), Viktor and Xavier Woods have all been added. The inclusion of Mikey Whipwreck and Stunning Steve Austin suggest we might see some kind of old school ECW angle in the game's story mode.

Here's what WWE and 2K had to say about the exclusion of Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Bayley:

We pushed as hard as we could to include Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Bayley in WWE 2k16, but it simply did not work out for various reasons. While we are not divulging full details on WWE 2K16's post-launch plans just yet, we can confirm that the Four Horsewomen will not be available as DLC.

We are proud to have and built the largest WWE roster to date featuring the most Divas ever. The WWE 2K16 disc includes all of the Divas on the main roster at the time we locked it in (13 playable in total).

We all agree the Divas Revolution is great for business and look forward to celebrating the Divas even more in future WWE 2K titles.

Those sound like poor excuses to me. Kevin Owens and Hideo Itami debuted on the roster long after Becky, Sasha, Bayley and Charlotte were putting in amazing matches. They included Eva Marie, who was out for most of 2015 due to being trained as an actual wrestler this time (two years too late) and getting more cosmetic surgery, but they didn't include Sasha Banks? Come on now.

WWE 2K16 will launch on Oct. 27 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360. Pre-ordering the game will unlock the Terminator on the roster, despite Arnie never being a wrestler or playing one in any of his films. Make sure you check the videos below, which include Hideo Itami taking back the move he invented, the GTS. The commentary is still sounding horridly bland.
