Take a good look at this jaw-dropping footage of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, now that its first 15 minutes are watchable in an awe-inspiring gameplay video.

IGN dropped a new gameplay video for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, giving players a glimpse into the first 15 minutes of Geralt's upcoming quest. There's a lot to take in, but it's hard not to get instantly sucked in.There's no actual missions being started or any other spoiler-type material in the video, they even skipped the opening cinematic just to be sure, but we do see plenty of horseback riding, incredible views of the environment, and some adept and impressive swordplay. We meet a few enemy creatures along the way, like ghouls and wolves and other wildlife, and we see the first confrontation between Geralt and a griffin. Based on other videos and trailers we've seen, we know griffins and Geralt don't always see eye to eye (more like sword to eye).

It's hard to watch these 15 minutes of gameplay and not be impressed by what we see. Some of those views of the land are breathtaking, especially with the sun in the right place. Combat looks simple enough to navigate despite having a ton of attacks and spells at our disposal. Best of all, we get a hint of just how much there is to see and do in the game via the Notice Board, where Geralt picks up six notices and spawns at least 15 areas of interests marked by question marks on the map. We're counting down the minutes, CD Projekt Red — give us that definitive, current-gen, open world RPG experience we've been waiting for.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launches May 19 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
