A recent livestream for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection led to a Naughty Dog employee accidentally referring to there being a second The Last of Us.

Gamepur reports that one of Naughty Dog's team members may have accidentally let it slip that there is more than one The Last of Us title. Of course, there has only been The Last of Us and its 'Left Behind' downloadable content released so far, so this slip suggests that Naughty Dog is potentially working on a sequel. During a recent livestream broadcast of The Nathan Drake Collection, Writer Josh Scherr, Lead Animator Eric Baldwin and Community Strategist Eric Manocelli were going over Nate's crazy antics and detailed PS4 upgrade when one of them referred to the first Last of Us game. That's right, first.

"All the facial animation in the Uncharted series was led up by Eric here... and all the facial animation in the Uncharted games and the first The Last of Us," Eric said. "Did I say the first of The Last of Us? The first The Last of Us? The LAST of Us."

Obviously, Eric started stumbling through his words and tried to correct himself, knowing what that statement was insinuating. The Last of Us was arguably one of the best games of the PS3/Xbox 360 generation, and it should be no surprise that Naughty Dog is trying to continue telling stories in such an amazing world. Of course, the studio remains adamant that there is no real sequel in the works yet, but we shouldn't be surprised that they'd want to make a followup to one of the most successful games of 2013.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is due out on Oct. 7. Uncharted 4 has been delayed to a March 2016 release, which is perfect timing for The Last of Us 2 to be formally unveiled just a few months later at E3 2016.
