Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono has been teasing fans about who is coming next to Street Fighter V, and the next brawler might surprise you.

Just a few days after Capcom announced M. Bison was being added to Street Fighter V, producer Yoshinori Ono has been trolling and teasing on Twitter about the next character being added to the game, Shoryuken reports. The Capcom exec hinted that the next character they'll reveal hasn't been featured in a Street Fighter game for quite some time, meaning you can rule out the Street Fighter IV cast and those added from its various special editions. So who does that leave? Well, most of the cast from Street Fighter III and the Alpha series who weren't in SFIV.

Two years ago, Capcom held a character popularity poll, and as you would expect, Ryu, Ken, Sakura, Chun-Li, Cammy and Akuma took the top spots in terms of their global standings. Surprisingly Karin, known for her blonde locks and red school girl outfit (whose only appearance was in Street Fighter Alpha 3), took the seventh spot, putting her right behind Sakura on the global popularity poll. The poll's Japanese scoreboard had Karin coming in first place with Ryu second. On the Japanese polls, Ingrid (another young blonde in a dress from Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX and Capcom Fighting Evolution) took the fourth spot. The busty blonde female wrestler R. Mika (another fighter from SF Alpha 3) took the fifth spot on the Japanese list. We have a feeling one of these three blonde females is next for SFV. Then again, there's Q, Alex, Urien, Ingrid, Birdie, Maki and Eagle.

There's also the Street Fighter EX cast, but let's just try to forget about that one.

While no launch date has been set, Street Fighter V is expected to debut in spring 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PC with cross-platform gameplay enabled.
