The Theatrhythm franchise had some great success with Final Fantasy, and now Square is turning the series to its other big RPG series: Dragon Quest.

After Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call releasing earlier this year, Square Enix had been hard at work on the next interation: Theatrhythm Dragon Quest. According to CVG, the game was originally teased back in March in Japan. The first time players will be able to see the game will be at the Jump Fiesta expo in Tokyo later this year. The original Theatrhythms consisted of rhythm based action gameplay, and now they'll feature songs from the Dragon Quest games.

Back in August, the producer of the Final Fanatasy version of the game had this to say about the upcoming game, "From my personal view, I really like what we've created here: The Theatrhythm series and the type of game." He went on to say that while the Final Fantasy version of the series was over, he didn't want it to be the end of the Theatrhythm games altogether.

While there's no set release date for the new Theatrhythm game, fans can look forward to the Tokyo based Jump Festa expo.
