Hi-Rez Studio's MOBA Smite has been out since March, but it just released an exciting cinematic trailer and even more exciting numbers for its game.

In Smite, the "battleground of the gods" you get to be one of many different Gods or Goddesses who are fighting in an attempt to protect your team's relic. Hi-Rez Studios has worked tirelessly on this MOBA and it has shown by rising to be one of the top 3 MOBAs in the quickly flourishing genre. The cinematic trailer that can be viewed above is being release in an attempt to make players even more excited about the Smite World Championship. That is, if having a $2.55 million prize pool (a bankroll that surpasses even League of Legends' 2014 World Championship) for the Championship wasn't already exciting enough.

The Smite World Championship will be taking place from Jan. 9th to the 11th and will include eight different teams that will battle it out for the aforementioned prize pool. Something cool about the prize pool is that it, "is a crowdfunded effort fueled by the Odyssey, an in-game promotion which sells exclusive content to Smite players." The finals will take place at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta. If all that wasn't exciting enough, Hi-Rez Studios will also be putting Smite's Ultimate God Pack on sale for $19.99 which means you can get all 60 gods for $10 less than the normal price.

Smite is a free-to-play MOBA out now for PC and in development for Xbox One so, get your friends together and head on in to the mythological battlefield that awaits.
