Sid Meier’s Starships Goes Cosmic in Early 2015
Continuing from its newest game, Sid Meier's Starships is the next game coming out from Firaxis Games, but this time it will be taking things to the stars.
This game will be a clear successor to Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth, GameSpot reports. In order to protect the planets and the species upon them, you will be tasked with controlling an entire fleet of starships in their quest to complete missions and build a "planetary federation." You'll need to figure out just how far you can expand without losing control of your fleet. There will be many different ways that you can win the game based on 2K's purported "dynamically generated tactical combat."
"My goal was to create an experience that focuses on starship design and combat within a universe filled with interstellar adventure, diplomacy, and exploration," Meier explained. For people who do own both games, there will be perks, such as cross-connectivity.
This turn-based strategy game is slated to come out in early 2015 and new details will hopefully be released very soon.
