Since the Resident Evil GameCube remake is getting an HD remaster, it makes sense that Rebecca Chamber's B.O.W.-filled prequel could get the same treatment.

Destructoid reports that a recent update on Resident Evil HD Remaster's Japanese website features a pre-order theme that looks like it has a reference to Resident Evil Zero in it. For those who don't know, Resident Evil Zero was released on GameCube a few months after the Resident Evil remake launched -- it also featured the same engine that Capcom used to remake the Spencer Mansion and all the monstrosities Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield fought. Resident Evil Zero told the story of S.T.A.R.S. medic Rebecca Chambers as she invested a series of murders in the rural areas outside Raccoon City. Chambers eventually partnered up with convict Billy Coen to survive a T-Virus outbreak just before she reached the mansion during the events of the first Resident Evil.

While there's still no official word on a revisit to the Ecliptic Express, Resident Evil HD Remaster will be launching on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Jan. 20.

The Wii version of Resident Evil Zero works just fine, Capcom. How about giving us a remake of Resident Evil 2 already.

More Rebecca Chambers voice acting? Now that's creepy.
