A poke-bomb was dropped today when Nintendo released a short video that showed a brand new Pokemon that will appear in Pokemon X and Y. And you know what? It looks oddly familiar.

The new, yet unnamed Pokemon looks like the cross between Mew, Mewtwo, and a little bit of Dragon Ball Z's Frieza. Footage of the Pokemon was shown on the Japanese Sunday morning variety show, Pokemon Smash.

It seems to be floating above the battlefield and uses a mix of moves that cover a variety of Pokemon types, such as Psychic, Water, Grass, and Ice. No word on what this Pokemon's name, type, or availability in the game will be like, but we'll let you know as soon as more information is released.

Pokemon X and Y will debut in October for all regions this year, so with a little over six month to go, we're sure that more revelations will start popping up. Until then, watch the short video below and let us know what you think of this new, Mewtwo-like Pokemon!
