If you want to see who is the very best, like no one ever was, then you should check out the Pokemon World Championships next month.

The Pokemon Company has launched the official website for the 2014 Pokemon World Championships. This website will allow fans and spectators to stay up-to-date with all the top-ranking Pokemon action from the event. The Pokemon World Championships will be taking place on August 16 and 17 in Washington, DC. August 16 will be primarily comprised of the opening brackets and semi-finals of both Pokemon: The Trading Card Game and Pokemon X/Y. On August 17, the final brackets of both Pokemon TCG and Pokemon X/Y will happen, crowning a Pokemon Master for the card game and one for the Nintendo 3DS game. The entirety of the weekend's events will be streamed via Twitch. Pokemon Trainers from over 30 countries will be partaking in the event, which will award prizes, scholarships and, of course, the title of Pokemon World Champion. To keep things fair, there are multiple divisions, such as Junior, Senior and Masters.
