When a game with the name Tembo the Badass Elephant is announced, you expect it to be a little crazy, and Game Freak certainly does not disappoint.

It's about time we see a new game from Game Freak that isn't a part of the ever-popular Pokemon RPG series. Sega has announced that it has been working on a new game about an elephant... a badass elephant — Tembo the Badass Elephant. This game is a 2D side-scrolling action adventure hybrid with the Pokemon team at Game Freak putting it together. Now, get ready for some caps lock moments because they're imminent and unavoidable when talking about Tembo.

PHANTOM, led by some mysterious and evil dude in a mask, has attacked Shell City leaving destruction in their path. The National Army is on it, but they're struggling against PHANTOM's forces. Or at least, they're struggling until a giant badass elephant named Tembo arrives on the screen to kick some serious butt. However, we never said that allowing Tembo onto the battlefield was going to be all rainbows and daisies. Tembo is here to cause some mass destruction to the bad guys (and unintentionally to Shell City). As he butt stomps his way through PHANTOM's forces with his companion, Picolo (does this one fuse with Kami too?), he will make it through 17 (Android 17?) different levels as well as a ridiculous amount of enemies.

"We're delighted to be working with Game Freak to bring this heavyweight adventure to an audience we feel it will have relephants to," Sega Europe's Vice President of Commercial Publishing, John Clark stated. "It's a trunkful of fun and we think gamers are going to love it. Hopefully more than my rubbish elephant puns."

Tembo the Badass Elephant will be coming out this summer for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC after which we're hoping that Clark can brush up on his pun game.
